Book a collaborative session
I’ll work with you on your presentation.
Let’s work together.
That’s it.
I’ve pretty much described the core of this service.
This isn’t a coaching call where we just work on your mindset and motivation.
We will spend 90 minutes together on zoom.
That’s 1.5 hours completely dedicated to you ~
If you want packages of sessions or packages that include design services or training we can figure that out together after our first session is finished. We can also just do this one session—that’s perfectly okay, too!
Client case study (Job Talk)
Dr. Isabel García Valdivia
Dr. García Valdivia first completed my online professional development program and a 1-and-1 session as a graduate student.
She had been implementing her new presentation design skills for a while…
…Then, when it was time for her academic job talk, she reached out and we did four 1-and-1 sessions.
She did four campus visit interviews and received three offers!
I’ve helped clients improve their keynotes, job talks, teaching demos, dissertation/masters defenses, training workshops, and conference talks.
Client case study (Dissertation)
Dr. Tehout Selameab’s Dissertation Intensive
Dr. Selameab was burned out and had a lot on her plate, but she needed to get her dissertation done, fast.
We did a full-day intensive. See what we accomplished in just one day.
Let’s work together on your most important presentations…
For anyone who just needs to get their idea out into the world:

If this sounds scary, impossible, or overwhelming then I will help break this down into manageable steps that align with your personality and resources.

Client case study (Keynote)
Dr. Tanya Golash-Boza
Dr. Golash-Boza first completed Fail-Proof Slide Design and then reached out for 1-and-1 services to improve her keynote.
She already had a recording of her delivering the keynote, so we customized the service.
I spent the first “session” watching (independently) the recording and provided written feedback about the script/storyboard and delivery.
Then, we met 1-and-1 on Zoom to review the feedback and improve the visual slides of her keynote.
…Years later, Dr. Golash-Boza continues to receive compliments about her presentation design and organization!
Here’s how our session will go
You book a session and send me whatever you are working on.
For example:
A presentation script
A presentation file (slide deck)
A description of the idea you want to get known for
Anything that helps me better understand what you’d like to talk about
We meet on zoom and work together.
You will be given permission to record the session on your computer.
I share what I’ve done so far and you provide initial feedback.
We work together for our entire session; I take the lead and do the heavy lifting (I edit your materials while sharing my screen).
After our session is finished, there will be time to discuss options for continuing to work together (if you want, zero pressure)
After our session I send you the revised materials from our session.
For example:
your revised script
your revised presentation file
a strategic map/action plan
3 key things to know about this session
This is not a sales call. You’re not just going to hear me tell you I can help you.
I will actually help you make progress and will give you feedback, make revisions, and come up with creative ideas just for you.
Whether it’s a script, your presentation slides, or figuring out what exactly you even want to do next (or your next step)—you will make progress in our session.
This includes some of my “done for you design” service because I edit/design your materials and send them back to you.
Additional collaborative 1-and-1 service options
Even if you want a package of sessions or additional services, most clients like being able to just book one single session first and decide from there. We can always stop there if it meets your needs. But, if you decide you want to continue working with me, here are a few options we can talk about after our session is over:
A package of short sessions
(60- or 90-minute sessions)
A half- or full-day working intensive (or a package of them)
Switch to “done for you” services. If our session was planning for that specific product, the fee for our first session will be applied to the total presentation design cost.
A custom combination of collaborative sessions, professional development, and/or “done for you” services:
Script editing/ghostwriting
Presentation slide design
Data visualization design
Infographic/handout design
Graphic design (e.g., website or social media graphics)
Video editing
Access to my online professional development course
There will be no pressure to purchase any of the above during our session, and I will not ask for payment during the session. If you do want to continue working with me, we will brainstorm a package together and then I will email those details to you later with a link to purchase whenever you’re ready.
